How to Take Care Your Wig
- Store wig away from heat, especially if colored.
- Use mannequin or hook when not wearing.
- Travel with wig in sealed container.
- PRE-WASH: Gently detangle hair and use a mild or specialized shampoo.
- 01 - WASH: Rinse with warm water. Apply shampoo from top to ends without twisting or scrubbing.
- 02 - COMB: While wet, use a wide-tooth comb to gently detangle, combing downward. Avoid bristle brushes.
- 03 - DRY: Air dry, use rollers, or a blow dryer on low. Wash only when the wig looks dull or lifeless.
- Use a Silk Nightcap or Hair Tie: Opt for silk or satin materials.
- Try the Plopping Method: After washing and applying hair oil, place hair on a flat towel or T-shirt, roll up the ends, and secure on your head.
- Moisturize Hair Ends: Apply leave-in conditioner, styling cream, or moisturizing hair masks to ends before bed.
- Use the Pineapple Method: Gather hair at the top of your head and secure loosely with a silk or satin hair tie.
- WASHING: Wash every 2-3 weeks with warm water and mild shampoo. Rinse thoroughly, apply conditioner 5-10 minutes, then rinse again.
- DRYING: Gently squeeze excess water and press with a towel. Air dry naturally; avoid hair dryers and direct sunlight.
- STYLING: Detangle with a wide-tooth comb or fingers. Use styling tools on low heat infrequently. For human hair, use heat protectant spray before styling (160-180°C / 320-356°F). Apply leave-in or moisturizing spray as needed.
- STORAGE: Store on a wig stand in a dry, ventilated place.
- PRECAUTIONS: Avoid wearing while swimming or showering. Keep away from chemicals, perfumes, and hair sprays. Check and repair any damage to cap and roots regularly.
